What types of properties does Christopherson Properties offer?
Christopherson Properties owns and manages a variety of apartment homes and condo units in Minnesota and Iowa. In Minnesota we have properties in Richfield, St. Louis Park, Hopkins, and Minneapolis. Our Iowa properties are located in East Des Moines and Southeast Des Moines. We offer a variety of floor plans to fit your needs – studios, 1-bedrooms 2-bedrooms, and 3-bedroom apartment homes.
What is the application process?
Applicants can fill out an online application available through Rental History Reports (RHR). You can find the link for the application on our website or, after viewing an apartment, our staff can directly email you a link to fill out an application. The application fee is $50 per adult. Are pets allowed?
Our Minnesota properties allow cats, birds, and fish. There is a $250 non-refundable pet fee per cat and the pet rent is $30 per month per cat. We allow a maximum of 2 cats and they must be spayed/neutered. Our Iowa properties allow cats, dogs, birds, and fish. For cats we charge a $250 non-refundable pet fee and the pet rent is $20 per month. For dogs we charge a $300 non-refundable pet fee, and the pet rent is $30 per month. Dogs must be registered on the DNA Poo Prints program and pay the $40 registration fee per dog. You also must provide proof of updated shot records and there are no aggressive breeds allowed.

How do I schedule a property tour?

What utilities are included with the apartments?
Gas, water, sewage and trash are included with your rent. Residents are responsible for electricity, cable, internet, and phone. All Iowa buildings have electric heat that residents are responsible for.

How do I pay rent?
Residents can set up an easy and convenient online account with us to pay their rent by credit/debit card or with an automatic bank account withdrawal. If you are a current resident who needs to set up an account, please contact our office for assistance. We also accept personal checks or CashPay. We do not accept cash or money orders.
When is my rental payment due?
In MN, your rent payment is due on the 1st of each month. Late fees will be applied to your account on the 4th of each month. The late fee in MN is 8% of the current month’s rent still owed. In IA, your rent payment is due on the 1st of each month. Late fees will be applied to your account on the 6th of each month. The late fee in IA is $100 if the balance is above $701. If the balance is $700 or lower, the late fee is $60.
How are maintenance requests handled?
In MN, we have dedicated maintenance phone numbers so that our residents can call and leave a message with their maintenance request. Our maintenance team checks this line throughout the day and will send out a team member to solve your maintenance issue in a very timely fashion. Residents that reside in Richfield or Minneapolis can call 612-767-2728. Residents that reside in Hopkins or St. Louis Park can call 952-938-2654. We also have a 24/7 on-call maintenance line for emergencies. Residents in Minnesota can call 612-963-3823. Iowa residents can contact the leasing office for any general maintenance request.
